“Families are not restored by accident; they are restored when someone decides not to give up… and that strength does not come from us – it comes from Christ, who sustains us to take the next step.”

As I look at these first months of the year, my heart is filled with gratitude because once again we see a truth that never changes: God is still restoring families.

Sometimes we wish everything would change all at once – that a marriage could be healed in a single conversation, that pain would disappear overnight, that peace would return to the home without going through a healing process. But most of the time God works differently: one decision at a time, one step of faith at a time, one day at a time.

At Focus on the Family, we have the privilege of walking alongside thousands of people who are fighting for their marriage, seeking wisdom to raise their children or encountering God face to face.

And every story we hear reminds us of this: families are not restored by accident; they are restored when someone decides not to give up… and that strength does not come from us – it comes from Christ, who sustains us to take the next step.

Focus on the Family Seminars

During the months of January and February, we had the privilege of ministering at 18 events, reaching 7,360 people.

One of the moments that impacted me the most was when Pedro and Sara approached me at the end of one of the seminars.

“We are divorced. I was desperate because I love her, but I had made a mistake and didn’t know how to ask for forgiveness. One day I was listening to the radio and, in the background, I heard your voice. At the end they said Enfoque a la Familia, so I searched for it online. I discovered you would be here, and we decided to come. This is the first time we’ve ever come to a church… and today we decided to give our marriage another chance. We drove more than two hours to get here, but it was worth it. Now I know what I need to do. I’m going to fight for my family.”

– Pedro
We also received this message from a church after one of the conferences:
“In our church we use Enfoque a la Familia resources for marriages about 90% of the time. During the conference we witnessed real miracles: marriages restored, men broken before God, and women motivated to find new purpose in their lives and families. Thank you for blessing so many churches.”
– Pastor Hector

We are deeply grateful for every city that welcomes us with open doors. We do not take it for granted. We recognize that all of this happens by the grace of God – He is the one who opens doors, prepares hearts, and makes it possible for His message to reach families.

Digital Reach

God is also using digital platforms in extraordinary ways to bring hope to homes we may never be able to visit in person.

But behind every number there is a real story. Alina wrote to us:
“In 2022 I was going through a separation. During that time your videos started appearing on YouTube, and I also came across your book ‘The Language of Forgiveness.’ Through that message, God touched my heart to forgive and to keep fighting to rebuild my marriage. Three years later we are still choosing every day to love each other the way God loved us first. And in the middle of this process God gave us a new blessing – our daughter Arlet. Thank you for your work for families.”
– Alina

In recent months we have also seen something that fills us with joy: the response of families to Enfoque Kids.

At several events we began bringing Enfoque Kids books and resources, and it has been beautiful to see how parents, leaders, and churches become excited about having practical tools to help their children live out the gospel at home.

At one event, a 9-year-old girl named Victoria filled out a card and wrote:
“I want you to send me information that will help me grow as a disciple of Jesus.”
– Victoria

Seeing the interest of children, parents, and leaders in these resources confirms that we are responding to a very real need: forming the next generation with strong foundations starting in the home.

This year we are launching the movement ‘I Choose My Family,’ because we believe families
are not sustained by accident – they are sustained when someone decides, again and again,
to love, forgive, and build.

We want May 15, International Day of Families, to regain its weight and meaning – a day to
celebrate, honor, and affirm the core that God designed: the family.

More than a one-day campaign, we want it to become a constant reminder that strong
families are built through small daily choices.

I invite you to be part of it from the beginning. Participate, share, and encourage others to
join. We will culminate that day with a special live broadcast.

“Every day is an opportunity to choose to love, forgive, and build family. I choose to
prioritize my family. Today, I choose my family.”

Every story we hear reminds us that God is not finished with families. He is still healing hearts, restoring marriages, and raising up parents and children to walk together.

Thank you for walking with us. Thank you for praying for this ministry, sharing our resources, and supporting this mission.
